EU’s innovation policy is one of EU’s priorities in order to meet the goals set out in the growth and jobs strategy to create better competitiveness, more jobs and economic growth in Europe. The focus on innovation and development at our office concerns especially the development of EU’s energy and climate policy, transport and tourism, and EU’s entrepreneurship and cluster policies. The demand for innovation is common in most of the EU programmes. However, the main programme.is the new Competitiveness and Innovation programme (CIP) where Norway participates through the EEA agreement.

Norway participates in several programmes related to Transport issues. One of these is the Marco Polo II Programme.
The Marco Polo II is valid for the financial perspective from 2007 – 2013 and is available to fund EU member states, all candidate states, EFTA countries and others due to their geographical proximity. In order to apply, it is required that one follows a list of common requirements. |
